چکیده
Cemented tailings backfill (CTB), prepared by a mixture of tailings, binder, and water in certain proportion, is widely applied to mines worldwide for ground support disposal. The prediction the mechanical properties CTB during whole consolidation process great practical importance. objective this paper focuses on investigation performance based ultrasonic pulse velocity (UPV) method. samples with different binder-to-water (b/w) ratios, as well solid content were monitored UPV method curing age 28 days. evolution dynamic shear modulus elasticity studied monitoring. Meanwhile, uniaxial compressive strength (UCS) microstructure tests performed at times 3, 7, results showed that development follows trend increases fast early ages then becomes stable 10 d age. UCS increased increase b/w, content, From tests, attributed low porosity compact structure due b/w ratio content. For purpose predicting utilizing monitoring, empirical equations relationship between variation ratios regression analyses. F-tests, t-tests, used check validity equations, which indicate higher calculated values predicted means main finding shows monitoring can be an effective way predict property field non-destructive effective.

Cemented backfill is one of geomaterials which is used at a high volume to serve a variety of geo-infrastructure systems, e.g., embankments, retaining walls and approach abutments, and involves the solidification of soil or similar fine aggregate through the addition of a controlled amount of cementitious materials, such as Portland cement, fly ash or lime. A certain volume of expanded polystyr...

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...
Multiphysics Modeling and Simulation of Strength Development and Distribution in Cemented Tailings Backfill Structures
Cemented paste backfill structures are complex underground cementitious structures. After fresh cemented paste backfill (CPB; a mix of tailings, binder and water) is poured into underground stopes (mined-out voids), its strength which is a key mechanical design criterion of CPB structures, gradually develops with time. The development of CPB strength is governed by the coupled thermo-hydro-mech...
متن کاملStrength Characteristics and Failure Mechanism of Cemented Super-Fine Unclassified Tailings Backfill
This experimental study investigates the strength characteristics of cemented super-fine unclassified tailings backfill (CSUTB) and its failure mechanism. Physical and chemical properties of tailings from the Zhongguan Iron Mine (ZGIM) were tested. A series of uniaxial compressive strength (UCS) tests was conducted to determine the relationships between UCS of CSUTB and three factors of cement-...
